The Twinflower Inn - Bed & Breakfast

     This warm and inviting one-of-a-kind B&B is nestled in the historic Swedish Utopia of Bishop Hill. Built in 1855 as the Colony Hospital, the Twinflower Inn has been lovingly restored. With five guest rooms, each with an en suite bathroom,  it is the ultimate retreat for family gatherings. 

     Historic Bishop Hill was founded in 1846 as The  Utopia on the Prairie. It retains its European ambiance. Bishop Hill is home to art galleries, boutiques, antique shops, a bakery, several restaurants, and museums. There are concerts every Sunday and an annual cycle festivals. It was recently named by Midwest Living Magazine as one of 100 Best Small Town Getaways. Festivals and special events abound in this National Historic Landmark village. 

     We are located in Henry County in western Illinois within a short drive of the Quad Cities, Peoria, Chicago, St. Louis, Madison or Milwaukee.

   The decor is a mix of whimsy and Swedish design with luxurious mattresses, 100% organic cotton sheets, an en suite bathroom, free wifi and a cozy corner to curl up with a book. An enchanting palette of colors brings the outdoors in, creating memories that will enhance your dreams.



Our hearty breakfasts are made with locally grown produce including homemade maple syrup and fresh fruit from our garden. We are happy to accommodate dietary preferences.





Book Lovers' Weekend

Spend a weekend curled up with your favorite books. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. In room massage, walking tour, paint and sip are optional.

Almost every Sunday throughout the year we host live music at The Bishop Hill Creative Commons.
